From 1981 until 1990 The Annual Of Urdu Studies was edited by Professor C.M. Naim at the University of Chicago. Publication then lapsed until it was revived in 1993 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison by Professor Muhammad Umar Memon with the assistance of Griffith A. Chaussee.
