SUNIL SHARMA is presently a senior lecturer at Boston University and a visiting lecturer in Indo-Persian and Urdu at Harvard University. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations, University of Chicago and is the author of Persian Poetry at the Indian Frontier: Mas'ud Sa'd Salman of Lahore (Delhi: Permanent Black, 2000) and Amir Khusraw: The Poet of Sultans and Sufis (Oxford: OneWorld, 2005).
