JAVED AKHTAR, the famous Indian Urdu poet, lyricist and script writer, lives in Mumbai. He is the son of the prominent Progressive poet Jan Nisar Akhtar, and his best-known collection of verse is Tarkash (Bombay: Sahir Publishing House, 1995).
