MUHAMMAD HASAN ASKARI (1919-1978) was an Urdu fiction writer and a renowed literary critic. He taught English at Islamia College, Karachi. A number of his essays were featured in the 2004 and 2010 issues (nos. 19 and 25) of the AUS.
