DANIELA BREDI is Associate Professor of History and Institutions of Islam in South Asia in the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Sapenza University of Rome (Italy), where she also teaches Urdu Language and Literature. She has authored Storia Della Culture Indo-Musulmana (Rome: Carocci, 2006), and several publications on historical, political and literary subjects.
