ASAD MUHAMMAD KHAN was born in Bhopal (India) in 1932. He now lives in Karachi. He has written a number of television plays and four collections of his short stories have appeared to date. A selection of his stories in English translation was published by Oxford University Press (Karachi) in 2002 as part of its Pakistan Writers' Series.
