FAYYAZ RAFAT was born in Etawah, UP in 1940. He has done an M.A. in Political Science and has worked in radio and television. He is presently Director, Lucknow Doordarshan. His works include two short story collections, Na’e ‘Ahd-Naame ki Saughaat (1975) and Mere Hisse kaa Zehr (1997), and a collection of poetry Beetee Ruton kaa Manzar (1996), for which he has received several awards from the Urdu Academies of Maharashtra and UP.
